Key Features:
- Material : EPDM ONE Primer (Synthetic polymers)
- Size: 1 Litre
- Coverage: 10m2 per litre
- Use: Specially designed to clean and prepare EPDM rubber membranes before applying the self adhesive products
- Life Expectancy: 50 Years+
Description:
EPDM ONE Primer is specifically designed to clean and prepare EPDM rubber membranes prior to the application of EPDM ONE self-adhesive products. It is also suitable for cleaning EPDM membranes before applying splice adhesives, ensuring optimal adhesion and long-lasting performance.
The surface where the primer will be used must be clean, dry and free of foreign materials. It may be necessary to clean it beforehand with a cleaning agent. Shake the primer vigorously before and during its application. If the primer has been exposed to low temperatures for a long time period, you need to re-establish the ambient temperature. Put the required quantity in a bucket to make it easier to apply.
Technical Specifications
-
Base: Synthetic polymers
-
Colour: Red
-
Solids Content: 14.0% – 16.5%
-
Density: 790 g/L
-
Minimum Application Temperature: +5 °C
Application Instructions:
Stir the primer thoroughly before use and during application. Apply EPDM ONE Primer evenly to the EPDM rubber membrane using a pad and applicator on smooth surfaces. For textured membranes, use a brush or spalter.
Apply using long, consistent strokes from front to back with moderate to firm pressure, ensuring uniform coverage. Continue application until the membrane surface displays an even colour, free of streaks, scratches, or excess build-up. When using long-handled tools, ensure sufficient pressure is applied so the entire applicator surface remains in contact with the membrane.
Allow the primed surface to dry completely before applying self-adhesive materials or splice adhesive. Drying time is typically around 10 minutes, depending on ambient conditions. Always confirm readiness using the tack test.
