Description:
Cladco L-shaped galvanised steel cleader angle (50mm x 50mm x 3m) designed for use on roof purlins. It creates a secure fixing face for vertical cladding systems and tidies exposed gable-end details. Made from 1.5mm corrosion-resistant steel and suitable for fixing to the top or underside of the purlins.
Also known as a cleader angle, this L-shaped galvanised steel profile is designed to create a clean, secure fixing face at gable ends. The 50mm x 50mm x 3m cleader rail provides a reliable edge detail where vertical cladding or sheeting meets the end of the roof, helping ensure a neat finish and a stable fixing point. Made from 1.5mm galvanised steel, it offers strong resistance to corrosion and is suitable for both domestic and commercial roofing applications.
This profile is commonly used alongside roof purlins, where it helps tidy exposed purlin ends and improves the overall appearance of the gable edge. Its simple, robust shape means it can be fixed to either the top or underside of the purlins, depending on the sheeting layout or the detail required at the gable. The rail provides a straight and consistent surface for attaching vertical cladding systems such as composite or fibre cement panels, helping maintain alignment and a professional-looking finish.
Manufactured from high-quality galvanised steel, the cleader rail is built for long-term outdoor performance. The galvanised coating protects the steel from rust and weathering, making it a dependable choice for exposed rooflines. At just under 3kg per length, it is easy to handle on site while still providing the strength needed for secure fixing.
For installation, we recommend using screws for light steel. These allow for a firm hold through the 1.5mm steel and into the purlins beneath. When fitting multiple lengths, leave a 6mm gap between joints to allow for thermal expansion and movement. Jointing cleats are not supplied, so installers will need to create their own joining method if required.
