The semi-transparent blind helps reduce solar heat and glare before it enters the room, while still allowing natural daylight to filter through. This makes it an excellent choice for kitchens, living rooms, home offices, extensions and other spaces where you want effective heat protection without completely blocking the daylight.
Powered entirely by solar energy, the MSG blind requires no additional wiring or electrical connection, helping to make installation simple and convenient. The blind can be operated from inside the room using the supplied VELUX wall switch, with additional smart-control options available through compatible VELUX control systems.
The integrated solar-powered motor means there is no need to run electrical cables to the blind. Simply operate the blind using the VELUX wall switch to adjust the level of shading throughout the day. Unlike a blackout blind, the MSG uses a semi-transparent fabric which reduces direct sunlight and heat while continuing to allow daylight into the room. It is therefore particularly suited to rooms that are used throughout the daytime.
When installed, the blind sits within the flat roof window construction, helping protect the fabric while maintaining the clean appearance of the rooflight.
