At the core of the Mega Balance system is the universal headpiece, engineered to suit paving slabs, deckboards, and aluminium joists without the need to swap or purchase additional fittings. This smart, integrated design saves time, reduces confusion on-site, and ensures a secure, level finish across all types of surfaces. Contractors can confidently cover a wide range of project requirements with a single, comprehensive pedestal system.

Mega Balance pedestals feature a self-levelling headpiece as standard, allowing for minor adjustments in situ without lifting slabs or deckboards. Combined with their ability to support heavy loads and accommodate structural movement, they deliver a reliable and durable solution for suspended paving and decking projects. Mega Balance offers precise height adjustment using just five key components, keeping installation simple and efficient. The system includes pedestals and extension elements that work seamlessly together to cover heights from 25mm up to 1025mm. Up to three 25mm dome extenders and nine 100mm shanks can be used on a single pedestal, providing exceptional on-site flexibility and reducing the risk of delays caused by incorrect height orders.

Paving Projects:

• Self-levelling headpiece incorporates 4 x positioning lugs (fins) laid out in a crucifix formation set towards the edges
• The four positioning lugs (fins) creates a drainage gap of 4mm between the tiles/pavers. This is to allow “The Key” to be used to adjust the height of the pedestal without having to lift the tile/paver
• The headpiece was created to allow up to a 5% or 2.86° slope correction in all directions
• The lugs (fins) separate paving slabs and tiles on the headpiece to allow sufficient drainage between slabs. This creates a uniform paving line so the slabs are laid completely straight
• A rubber anti-shock pad is part of the headpiece which has a series of ridges to give better grip to the slab and help insulate against vibration and noise travelling through the pedestal
  

Decking Projects: 

• The lugs (fins) are set out towards the edges of the headpiece giving a gap between them to house a timber or composite joist
• Decking boards are then fixed to the timber joist frame. So there is no need to cut furrings – simply adjust your pedestal height and allow the self levelling head to correct the fall for drainage
• The auto-correcting head makes installing decking systems much faster than traditional methods
• The Anti-shock shim on the headpiece grips onto the joist better and makes for an easier installation
