Restec FlexiTec 2020 SP Primer is a specialist moisture-curing primer designed to promote strong adhesion when applying the FlexiTec roofing system over PVC, TPO and EPDM single-ply membranes.
Formulated as part of the Restec FlexiTec system, SP Primer prepares compatible single-ply surfaces prior to the application of the FlexiTec waterproofing membrane, helping create a secure and dependable bond between the existing substrate and the new liquid-applied system.
It is particularly useful for refurbishment and overlay projects where an existing single-ply membrane is being retained. Restec recommends that adhesion and compatibility tests are carried out before application, as priming requirements can vary depending on the type and condition of the existing membrane.
Existing single-ply membranes should be suitably prepared and cleaned before application. Restec advises thoroughly cleaning appropriate single-ply surfaces with clean acetone and carrying out an adhesion test to confirm compatibility and the correct priming requirements before installation.
Please Note: Always follow the latest Restec application guidance and carry out the recommended adhesion tests before applying FlexiTec over an existing single-ply roofing membrane.
