Description:
TRC EPDM adhesive aerosol is a spray applied contact adhesive for bonding EPDM membranes for flat roofing applications for both horizontal and vertical bonding of EPDM to a range of commonly encountered substrates.
Due to the properties and composition of EPDM it is a particularly tough material to bond to due to its low surface energy and chemical composition. TRC EPDM adhesive will bond EPDM to a wide variety of substrates including timber, metals, calcium silicate, concrete and a range of insulation boards such as foil faced or tissue faced PIR/PUR or stone wool due to the solvent content un-faced XPS and EPS would not be suitable.
We would always recommend that a test area be conducted prior to work commencing to ensure all materials are compatible. This adhesive is ideal for permanent bonds which require a good initial bond strength. It provides high temperature resistance and if protected from contamination has an a long open time to allow for stress free application.
