Description:
The VELUX CXU Curved Glass Flat Roof Electric Exit Window Package combines an elegant curved glass design with safe, convenient access to the roof for maintenance and repair. Engineered for both everyday ventilation and secure roof entry, CXU delivers a premium architectural aesthetic while meeting the highest safety standards.
At the heart of the solution is the unique VELUX KFS 302 safety and ventilation switch kit, supplied as standard with every CXU. This innovative system provides integrated entrapment control and fall-through protection, ensuring safe and controlled access to the roof. The rooflight automatically opens to a fixed 60° position for stable exit and can be securely closed from the roof side, offering complete user confidence during maintenance work.
For reliable performance of all key safety and automation features including entrapment protection, fall-through prevention, and rain-responsive closing the CXU must be installed in combination with the VELUX KES 305 control system, which is included in this package.
Beyond roof access, CXU functions as a high-quality electric glass rooflight for daily comfort. At the touch of a button, it provides fresh air ventilation, while the integrated rain sensor automatically closes the unit in wet conditions. Its slim glass-to-edge design aligns seamlessly with the wider VELUX flat roof window range, making it an attractive solution for modern architecture.
Designed for durability and efficiency, the CXU features a two-layer or three-layer insulating glass unit that delivers excellent thermal performance and reduced external noise.
